I saw this video and madea comment in your charcoal and urine section also. I mentioned that the charred coal depletes the field first. I can see that this is a big problem in the video.
The bio-mass is being burnt and then goes to the ground. If it is not blown away right away the char will absorb some of the nutrients of the soil into the pores of the char itself. If the char is not sufficiently sunken into the ground at this point and a high wind comes up and blows it away the nutrients of the field are being blown away with it. If the forests adjacent to the fields were to be tested for char content they would likely show a high level of carbon, although they themselves are not going through a burn cycle.
It would be best to have off-field production of the char, as stated in the other comment.
